The State Government of Odisha is bringing the Affordable Housing project in its boundary. This project will cover the 2.79-acre land in Kalinga Nagar Development Authority area in the Jajpur district. Padhi, the State Secretariat was quoted saying, “Approval of this project is a major step towards the development of social infrastructure in Kalinga Nagar Development Authority (KNDA).”
The decision to construct affordable housing here is being taken in the maiden meeting of the Empowered Committee formed on the Comprehensive Development Plan.
The State Secretary also raised the question to the Kalinga Nagar Development Authority [KNDA] about protecting the Government-land from getting encroached by the locals and expressed concern over stopping the illegal construction and land encroachment.
Currently, the KNDA administers 161 revenue villages that are widespread over 458.78 sq. km area. The Affordable housing project will be developed under the Private Public partnership [PPP] model and will be constructed in Upargar Mouza under Vaysanaga Tehsil.
The project will be allotted to the Economically Weaker Sections under the affordable housing scheme.
