Good News for Delhi, Noida and Greater Noida residents! In order to provide smooth connectivity between the three cities, the metro authorities are planning to link Aqua Line with Magenta Line. As per the Metro Rail Corporation, they have made this plan as there are very limited transportation facilities between the Noida and Greater Noida.

Elaborating on the proposed plan, Metro authorities said, “To strengthen the connectivity we have made plans to link the cities. The Aqua Line and Magenta Line are serving in Delhi, Noida and Greater Noida. So, on Magenta line, the linking station will be built on Okhla Bird Sanctuary Metro station, while on Aqua Line the linking station will be at Sector-142,”

The above plan will soon be submitted to the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) so that a discussion on the same can take place soon. Once the discussion will be over, the final decision on the implementation of the project will take place.

The Aqua Line connecting to Greater Noida was started in January 2019. Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) is the sole authority who is looking at the functionality of this line. With a total of 21 stations, the 29.7 km long corridor starts from Noida Sector-51 and ends at GNIDA Office in Greater Noida.

So, if the above proposal is implemented, then all the three cities i.e. Delhi, Noida, and Greater Noida will get smooth connectivity.

At the same time, DMRC is also planning to extend the Aqua Line to the proposed Jewar International Airport. It will start from Knowledge park-2 and will end at the Airport.
