Awfis opens Co-working space with more than 1,000 seating in Bengaluru

The co-working space provider, Awfis Space Solutions, opened another co-working space in Bengaluru across 63,000 sq. ft. This space has a capacity of 1,050 workstations.

Sumit Lakhani, Chief Marketing Officer, Awfis Space Solutions said that Bengaluru is a giant market and we have opened the fourth centre in the central business district and 11th in the city. In fact, companies like Reliance Communications, Frontizo, Business Services, Equal Experts and the Math Company have occupied space in the centre during the pre-launch sale of the seats.

CMO Lakhani also said that they have a network of 63 centres and 30,000-plus seats in 10 cities and they aim to double the capacity to 60,000 seats in the next one year.

Awfis, the Mumbai-based firm also witnessed a revenue jump of approximately threefold year-on-year in 2018-19 to Rs. 158 crore from Rs. 56 crore. The firm also raised $20 million in series C funding from its current investors that include global venture capital firm Sequoia Capital, The Three Sisters: Institutional Office (TTS:IO) that is led by Radha Kapoor and Temasek Group company InnoVen Capital.

Prior to this, the company had raised $31 million via two rounds from TTS:IO and founder Amit Ramani. The California-based Sequoia Capital made an investment of $20 million.
