Leading real estate company Runwal Group has recently tied pact with Cricket Australia (CA), the national governing body for the game in Australia to provide coaching to young students and amateur cricketers who are also residents of their housing projects in Mumbai. Under this pact, the group will be providing Cricket Education Program (CEP) to students.
The program is wholly and solely designed, developed and validated by Cricket Australia. The projects where the group will start this programme include Runwal Forests, Runwal Greens, Runwal Gardens and others.
Speaking on the alliance, former Australian pacer Brett Lee said, “It’s a great initiative to nurture the potential of talented young cricketers. I am so excited to see them being given an opportunity to further enhance their skills in all aspects of cricket. I hope this initiative by Runwal Group is replicated at many more locations.”
An official from the Runwal Group further informed that all the residents and occupants of the projects can avail the facility of this programme. However, it will be subjected completely to their Qualification as per criteria set out for each level in the training.
In order to promote cricket globally, Cricket Australia has signed a deal with Fourth Dimension International Ltd (FDIL). In India, FDIL has transferred the rights to Sports Education Development India Limited (SEDIL) so as to operate the program through the sponsorships of the Cricket India Academy (CIA).
Runwal Developers was established in 1978, and today is one of Mumbai’s premier real estate brands. The group has created many landmarks in various segments like residential, commercial and organized retail verticals.
