PMAY-Scheme: Rajasthan Completes Construction of Over Three Lac Homes

Rajasthan completed the construction of affordable homes in the rural areas under the PMAY [Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna] Scheme.

 

According to Sudarshan Sethi, the additional chief secretary Panchayati Raj and Rural Development, the Government completed the construction of 3,03,000 lakh homes out of 4.73 lakh affordable homes which they targeted to complete in the past two years. He further stated that the remaining one lac homes are near to completion and will be ready by June this year.

 

These affordable homes are designed by the Government after consulting with IIT-Delhi who designed the blueprint of these living structures that are compatible with the weather conditions of this region. The beneficiaries of these homes have already received a total of rupees 1 lac 48 thousand that includes 1.2 lacs rupees of subsidy, rupees 16,290 for three months under the NAREGA Scheme and 12,000 rupees under the Swach Bharat Mission for building toilets.

 

Other than this, these homes will be enabled with LPG connection under Ujjwala Scheme, power supply via solar power plant, water connection, road connectivity and various other group housing facilities.
