Chennai’s Resale Property Buyers can now Check Property Papers Online too

News

Are you also planning to buy resale property in Chennai? Then, here is some good news for you as the CMDA – Chennai Metropolitan Development Authority has digitized approval letters and other important documents related to the property which gets a nod from the local bodies here in Chennai. This allows the aspiring home buyers to know whether the property they are planning to buy has payments due or have violated any laws.

The approval letter from the local bodies comprises of the units and floors that are allowed to be constructed on the given land. Also, the uploaded property documents clearly state if the property owner has levied necessary approval from the CMWSSB i.e. Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply Board.

Currently, the CMDA is uploading permits and approval letters for the property plans that are sanctioned between the year 2006 and 2017. One of the CMDA Official stated that the authority commenced digitization of property documents in descending order and has completed the uploading of soft copies for last 12 years.

The people can now easily check the number of approved units and floors along with the contact details of the architects and other engineers who worked on the particular property. Another important thing to know is that the buildings with ground floor plus three or four floors are categorized as special buildings by CMDA.

The Chennai Metropolitan Development Authority gave planning permits to 800+ special buildings which fall under the Kancheepuram and Tiruvallur regions.

This online record tracking of the property documents will minimize the fraudulent selling of property in Chennai and its nearby areas.
