Renowned audit firm PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) has finally won the bid to prepare the techno-economic feasibility (TFR) study of Jewar Airport. Out of the six companies which were selected by Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) to prepare the report, PwC emerges as a winner after the bid was opened last month.

YEIDA first initiated the process in November when it published EOI cum RFP for the development of Greenfield Jewar Airport in Greater Noida.  Six companies applied and the application process closed on December 18, 2017. The six companies include KPMG, Ernst & Young, Deloitte, McKinsey & Company Larsen & Toubro, and PwC. The final technical presentation took place at YEIDA office on 27 December 2017.

YEIDA OSD Shailendra Bhatia told PWC is selected on the basis of CQCCBS (Combined quality cum cost-based selection method) and Letter of Authority has been issued to PWC. Now PwC has to give the final TFR report in April 2018, so that after all the approvals the development work will start by the end of the year.

According to latest reports, PWC will work jointly with Singapore based company Meinhardt in order to provide the Techno-Economic Feasibility Study for international Greenfield airport at Jewar. While PriceWaterhouseCoopers has experience in financial analysis, environmental and social impact, Menhardt specializes in technical surveys and master planning.  Meinhardt has also worked on more than 100 aviation projects including 35 international airports.
