Good news for Ghaziabad residents, one of the most thriving and populous regions of NCR, will soon receive a plethora of infrastructure projects that will boost the city’s economy as well as the realty market too. In a recently held meeting, the Ghaziabad administration had given details about the 14 such projects worth Rs 32,000 crore, of which some are in the inauguration line while others are waiting for the foundation stone laying ceremony.
Elaborating on the above projects, a senior authority official said, “There are around 8 projects which are fully completed and waiting for the inauguration. The total cost of these projects is Rs. 1957.16 crore. These projects include the most ambitious Rs 1781.21 crore Dilshad Garden-New Bus Adda Metro line corridor.”
Other projects include Rs 60 crore Civil Terminal at Hindon IAF Base, and two model inter colleges for boys and girls in Mustafabad and Loni each worth Rs 302 crore, 180 residential units under Aasra Housing Scheme in Nandgram Worth Rs 9.89 crore, Rs 29.92 crore water pipeline and 32.10 crore sewer line under AMRUT scheme in Ghaziabad, and another sewer line in Loni under same scheme worth Rs 38.89 crore.
However, there are certain projects which are awaiting the foundation stone laying ceremony. These projects cost Rs 30556.99 crore and the important one include Rs 30274 crore Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut RRTS corridor and 60 crore Integrated Traffic Management System in Ghaziabad. Work on Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut RRTS corridor has already started by the authority with feasibility report prepared and tenders issued for the bid.
