The Mahindra Lifespace Developers, a well-known real estate and infrastructure development subsidiary firm of the Mahindra Group, ventured into the infrastructural sector by signing a pact with the Maharashtra State Government to develop a city as the tourism destination.
The Murud city falling under Raigad district will be developed as a tourist destination by the State Government in a partnership.
The Mahindra Lifespace is a solely-owned subsidiary of Deep Mangal Developers who will plan the development of this project according to the tourism policy of the Maharashtra State Government. Apart from this, they will also focus on attracting investments, creating employment and skill development opportunities.
This information was shared in the Company’s press release. Spread over 1300-acres and will turn into a tourist destination and will promote health, wellness, adventure, culture and heritage tourism.
Murud is located in the Konkan region of Maharashtra state and is nearly at a distance of 150 km from Mumbai. This place also holds historical importance and is famous for the sea-fort of Murud – Janjira.
Apart from this, Murud is home to a picturesque view of nature as one can witness the beauty of beaches like Kashid and Murud, the Garambi waterfalls and more.
Multiple projects are being planned to engage the local community in this development via education, skill development of youth and economic empowerment of women and more.
