Leading private equity fund manager SUN Group has recently inked a major pact with real estate development company Vista Spaces to set up an investment platform for various residential and commercial properties in India real estate market. With this deal, SUN Group has marked its entry into the Indian realty sector.
Elaborating on the above information, Uday Khemka, executive chairman SUN Vista (the newly formed group) said, “There is a huge opportunity in the Indian real estate sector for institutional money with long-term view. The southern market has been much more stable and mature compared with the other bigger markets,”
According to the reports, both the groups have planned to invest about Rs 700 crore through multiple channels over the next five years across residential and commercial assets in southern India.
Speaking on the occasion, Raghuveer Veeramachaneni, joint MD, SUN Vista revealed, “The proposed platform will develop residential developments with an average price of Rs 7,000-8,000 per sq ft across Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Chennai apart from setting up commercial assets.”
