The trail run on the Noida-Greater Noida stretch of 29.71 Km has already completed. The route will have stations at sectors 52, 51, 50, 78, 81, Dadri Road, sectors 83, 137, 142, 143, 144, 147, 153, 149, Knowledge Park 2, Knowledge Park 1, Pari Chowk, Alpha 1, Alpha 2, Delta 1 and Depot station.
Also, some more new stretches are in pipeline to make Noida best in terms of connectivity.
Public Infrastructure
With increasing population, the first thing which gets affected is the civic infrastructure like roads, air quality etc. So, in order to curb environment pollution level in Noida, the authority has planned to create ‘Dust free zones’ alongside city roads by planting grass and shrubs. The district administration has also planned to set up vertical gardens with a dwarf and special plant species under elevated roads and metro rail corridors in the city.
Apart from these, the underpass in Sector 24 and Sector 25, Shilhaat in Sector 33A and the command control room in Sector 94 are also likely to get operational soon. Also, work on two more elevated roads – the Shahdara elevated road and the Dadri road may start in December this year.
Industrial City

Currently, the concerned departments have been reviewing the status of infrastructure projects in the city. Big IT/ITes companies such as Vivo, Paytm, Haier and Kent have also set up new industrial units in Noida or have expanded their operations.
Anti-squatter drive
In order to make Noida a smart city, the authority presently is undertaking an anti-squatter drive, to cut down encroachments in many localities. These encroachments that take up pedestrian and parking space were removed. For instance, encroachments in sectors 62, 46, 47, 99 and 100 were cleared by the Noida Authority.
No power outage by 2019
People living in Noida still face a lot of power cuts. But now the Pashchimanchal Vidyut Vitaran Nigam Limited (PVVNL) has come out with a design that will help Noida in becoming a no-power-cut zone by 2019, hence adding a feather to this satellite city. According to PVVNL managing Director Ashutosh Niranjan, “All lines will be underground by 2019. An additional cable is being thrown along with the underground cable line so that power could be supplied through it in case a fault occurs in the original cable.”
Apart from this new sub-stations and transformers will also be set up to provide round-the-clock power supply.
